Community Guidelines
& Content Policy

Eleva is a global video platform. These guidelines keep Eleva creative, safe, and welcoming for everyone aged 16 and above. All content is subject to these rules regardless of account size or history.

01Automated Moderation

Every piece of content uploaded to Eleva passes through our automated moderation pipeline powered by Google Cloud Vision AI before it is published publicly. This system checks for nudity and sexual content, CSAM, graphic violence, self-harm imagery, and hateful symbols. Flagged content is withheld pending human review (24–48 hours). You will be notified of the outcome with a specific reason code (see Section 13).

02Community Moderators

🛡️ About Community Moderators

Eleva may invite certain users to serve as voluntary Community Moderators — trusted members of our community who help flag content that may violate these Guidelines. This is a voluntary, community-facing role with no administrative power over other users' accounts.

Selection & Revocation

Community Moderators are personally selected by Eleva's administrative team based on platform conduct, tenure, and community standing. There is no public application process. Selection and revocation are entirely at Eleva's sole discretion and may occur at any time without prior notice or explanation. Revocation does not affect the user's regular account standing.

What They Can and Cannot Do

Community Moderators do not have: access to any moderation dashboard, access to other users' personal data, the ability to remove content, suspend accounts, or issue bans.

Community Moderators can: flag content they believe violates these Guidelines using the standard in-app reporting function — the same tool available to all users.

All moderation decisions are made exclusively by Eleva Platform Ltd's internal team. A flag from a Community Moderator carries no more automatic weight than any other report; every flagged piece of content receives equal human review.

Benefits

At Eleva's sole and non-binding discretion, Moderators may receive in-app recognition or other platform benefits. Such benefits are not guaranteed, are not contractual, and are not consideration for any employment or service relationship. They may be granted or withdrawn at any time.

Legal notice: Community Moderators are not employees, contractors, agents, or legal representatives of Eleva Platform Ltd. They do not speak on behalf of the company. Eleva assumes no liability for any statements or actions taken by Community Moderators outside their defined reporting role.

03Absolutely Prohibited — Zero Tolerance

Immediate permanent termination and law enforcement referral. No appeal.

🚫 Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)

Any content sexually exploiting or depicting minors. Reported immediately to NCMEC, the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF), and national authorities. No exceptions.

🚫 Terrorism & Violent Extremism

Content promoting, glorifying, or facilitating terrorist organisations or mass violence.

🚫 Non-Consensual Intimate Imagery (NCII)

Intimate images or videos of real people without explicit consent, including deepfakes.

🚫 Human Trafficking

Content facilitating, promoting, or recruiting for trafficking or forced exploitation.

🚫 Coordinated Inauthentic Behaviour

Fake account networks, bot campaigns, or coordinated fraud including manipulation of the Ambassador referral programme.

04Safety & Wellbeing

🚫 Not Allowed

Content promoting, instructing, or glorifying suicide or self-harm; dangerous challenge instructions; weapons or explosive instructions; animal cruelty.

Mental health awareness; personal recovery stories; crisis resources; documentary journalism with appropriate framing.

05Hate Speech & Discrimination

🚫 Not Allowed

Content attacking or dehumanising people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or age. Includes slurs, Holocaust denial, and supremacist content.

✓ Allowed

Educational content; counter-speech; documentary journalism; satire of public figures and institutions that does not attack marginalised groups.

06Violence & Graphic Content

🚫 Not Allowed

Gratuitous gore for shock value; content inciting violence against specific people; animal cruelty.

✓ Allowed

News reporting; documentary content with warnings; fictional violence; martial arts and combat sports.

07Sexual Content

🚫 Not Allowed

Explicit sexual content; nudity for its own sake; any sexual content involving minors; sexualised content targeting minors.

Clearly artistic nudity of cultural intent; medical and health education; breastfeeding content.

08Harassment & Bullying

🚫 Not Allowed

Targeted harassment; coordinated pile-ons; doxxing; threats of violence or stalking; bullying of minors.

Criticism and satire of public figures on matters of public interest; debate without personal threat.

09Misinformation

🚫 Not Allowed

Medical misinformation causing harm; fabricated news presented as real; undisclosed deepfakes; electoral misinformation suppressing votes.

✓ Allowed

Satire, parody, opinion clearly labelled as such; fact-checking; AI creative content when disclosed.

10Spam, Scams & Platform Manipulation

🚫 Not Allowed

Spam; scam content; purchasing or selling engagement; bots or automation; artificial manipulation of referral earnings through fake accounts, self-referrals, or coordinated fraudulent sign-ups.

11Intellectual Property

🚫 Not Allowed

Content you do not own the rights to; unlicensed music or film clips; presenting others' work as your own.

12Privacy

🚫 Not Allowed

Publishing private personal information without consent; recording private individuals without a reasonable expectation; sharing others' private correspondence without consent.

13Content Removal — Reason Codes

Every content removal notification includes a specific reason code. This table defines every code so you always know exactly why a decision was made and which section of these Guidelines applies:

14Enforcement & Consequences

Enforcement Framework

  • Content Removal: Violating content removed; reason code sent in-app and by email.
  • Warning: First minor violations receive a formal in-app warning on record.
  • Temporary Restriction: Posting, commenting, or messaging suspended for a defined period.
  • Account Suspension: Temporary or indefinite.
  • Permanent Ban: Account closed; token balance forfeited. For serious, repeated, or zero-tolerance violations.
  • Law Enforcement Referral: CSAM and criminal content reported immediately and without prior notice.

How to Appeal

Email appeals@elevaplatform.org within 14 days. Include your username, the reason code received, and your grounds for appeal. We respond within 72 hours. Zero-tolerance decisions (TDN-01 to TDN-04) are not reversible.

15Updates

Material changes are communicated via in-app notification at least 14 days before taking effect.
